One focus is on advanced and further training in the preservation of historical monuments and craft culture. Since the mid-1980s, restorers have been qualifying at Schloss Raesfeld to become restorers in the skilled trades. In addition, the academy offers numerous specialist seminars on the practice of monument conservation.
Since 2023, the course to become a "Restorer in the Crafts" has been offered according to the new examination regulations with the degree of "Certified Restorer in the Crafts/Master Professional for Restoration in the Crafts". The advanced training will be held at Schloss Raesfeld for eight trades:
- Painting and varnishing trade
- Bricklayers and concrete builders trade
- Metalworker trade
- Interior decorator trade
- Stone mason and stone sculptor craft
- Plasterer craft
- Carpenter craft
- Carpenter craft
The advanced training comprises 720 hours of instruction and is carried out in parallel with the occupation. The usually 3-day seminars take place approximately every 4 weeks on Thursdays to Saturdays at Schloss Raesfeld. The course lasts a total of 24 months. The examination is taken before the Münster Chamber of Crafts.

Admission: The admission requirement is the master craftsman's examination. On application, you can have comparable vocational qualifications with corresponding knowledge and experience recognized.
