The seminar leaders and lecturers are experienced professionals who are all professionally active in the preservation of monuments and the renovation of old buildings. Preparatory groups with the participation of the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments, the chambers and professional associations support the Propstei Johannesberg gGmbH and its team of seminar leaders in the planning and implementation of the seminars.
The Propstei Johannesberg gGmbH works in the Marstall of the Propstei Johannesberg in Fulda. The seminar offer addresses itself in particular to architects/inside, engineers/inside, craftsmen/inside and authority coworkers/inside. In addition to short seminars, multi-part seminar series are held as advanced training for engineers and architects in cooperation with the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, the Chamber of Architects and Town Planners of Hesse and the Chamber of Engineers of Hesse. A final certificate proves the seminar participation of the complete series.
For craftsmen and craftswomen, in addition to practical seminars in the workshops, the certificate courses with a final examination before the Chamber of Crafts are offered as "Certified Restorer in the Crafts - Master Professional for Restoration in the Crafts" for master craftsmen. Journeymen and journeywomen can qualify as journeymen for restoration work or for repair work in historic preservation.
In cooperation with the Ferdinand-Braun-Schule Fulda, the course contents are implemented for the practice of the technical school in paint and varnish technology with a focus on design and monument preservation. Together with the Jugendbauhütte Hessen-Marburg, a project of the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz in sponsorship of the Internationale Jugend- gemeinschaftsdienste e.V. (ijgd e.V.), the participants of the Voluntary Social Year in Monument Preservation are prepared for their assignments in seminars.
